Hi, we’re Kate & Sascha, the owners of Idyhaven.
We first fell in love with the town of Idyllwild and its community back in 2018 when we rented a cabin for our wedding anniversary.
Located in the San Bernardino National Forest, set amongst tall pines and sweet-smelling cedars, it was the perfect place to rest and retreat. Our stay was so unforgettable that we kept thinking about Idyllwild and found ourselves wanting our very own cabin.
The search began, and after looking at many beautiful cabins in the area, we settled on Double View Drive
This cabin has been a labor of love for us, and it is now a sanctuary where we rest and reconnect with nature. We hope you will enjoy the peace and fresh air of the San Jacinto mountains, just as we did on our memorable first visit, and come back often.
We wanted to make sure that the connection we felt with nature on our visit to Idyllwild was ever-present in our cabin. To honor its beautiful surroundings, we set out to ensure Idyhaven would be as sustainable and environmentally friendly as possible.
At the beginning of our research, we discovered how many ecologically responsible options exist for those who want to build and live with caring for the environment in mind.
For nearly two years we worked closely with the local authorities in Riverside County, mindfully re-designing and renovating the cabin and grounds. Learning about the emerging eco-technologies lit a passion in us for adopting a more earth-friendly lifestyle, and encouraging others to do the same.
Our goal with Idyhaven is to inspire our guests, new friends, and community members to make the switch to a more sustainable way to vacation and to live.
